1. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the ROK-China diplomatic relations on August 24, the heads of state, the Prime Ministers and the Foreign Ministers of the two countries exchanged celebratory messages.

2. In their messages, the two sides noted with appreciation the remarkable development of the ROK-China relationship since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992. Furthermore, they agreed to build on this development to deepen their cooperative ties in a mutually beneficial manner as “strategic and cooperative partners.” They also voiced hope for continued cooperation toward the peace and prosperity in East Asia and the rest of the world.
