Concerning the crash of Asiana Airlines flight 214 in San Francisco on July 7 which left two Chinese dead and many injured, Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se sent a condolence letter to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on July 8.

o Foreign Minister Yun extended his deepest condolences to those killed and conveyed words of profound consolation to the Chinese government and people and in particular to the bereaved families of those killed and the injured.

o The government of the Republic of Korea will provide maximum cooperation to bring the situation under control and handle the aftermath in a smooth manner, and in the process, will also closely cooperate with the Chinese government.
