1. The Center for Chinese Studies of the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) under the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) and the China Institute of International Strategic Studies (CIISS) at the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China will hold their second Strategic Dialogue in Changchun, China, on August 8.

2. In the closed-door meeting, the two sides will seek ways to make the ROK-China strategic cooperative partnership more substantial. To this end, they will exchange views on the current situation in Northeast Asia, the foreign policy directions of the two countries, and the assessment of the current bilateral relations as well as their outlook thereof. Building upon these views, they will seek specific ways to make substantive progress on bilateral relations.

3. IFANS and the CIISS concluded an memorandum of understanding on exchanges and cooperation in Seoul in April to strengthen their strategic communication and thereby bolster political and security cooperation between the two countries.

4. The ROK delegation to the meeting will comprise 18 officials from the KNDA, including its Chancellor Yun Duk-min and Research Director of the Center for Chinese Studies Shin Jung-seung. The Chinese delegation will include the head of the CIISS and 19 others.
