1. The 2nd ROK-US Energy Security Dialogue will take place in Seoul on January 23, with Director-General for Global Economic Affairs Lee Seong-ho of the ROK Foreign Ministry and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Mary Warlick at the US Department of State's Bureau of Energy Resources leading their respective delegations.

o The ROK delegation consists of officials from the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and the Ministry of Strategy and Finance. The US delegation comprises officials from relevant agencies, including the Department of State.

2. In the upcoming meeting, the two sides will discuss a range of issues, including global energy market conditions, the current state of East Asia’s natural gas market, multilateral cooperation on clean energy, and the Northeast Asia Peace and Cooperation Initiative in the field of energy security.

3. The meeting is expected to contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation in energy security by providing an opportunity to share information with the US, one of the world’s largest energy producers and consumers.
