1. A delegation, led by Deputy Foreign Minister for Multilateral and Global Affairs Choi Jong-moon and comprised of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of National Defense, will visit the Central African Republic from November 23 to 26 to look into the possible dispatch of an engineering unit to the country.

° The Republic of Korea, having pledged to dispatch additional engineering units on peacekeeping missions at the summit meeting on peacekeeping held on the sidelines of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly in September 2015, has since consulted with the UN Secretariat on this matter. The UN Secretariat recently asked the ROK and other countries whether they are willing to dispatch engineering units to the Central African Republic.
