1. The Government of the Republic of Korea expresses a strong protest over the fact that the Japanese Government has repeatedly made a move to lay preposterous claims over Dokdo, including by once again sending a high-level official of the central government to the so-called “Dokdo day” event held by Shimane Prefecture on February 22, and sternly urges an immediate halt to such moves.

2. The Japanese Government must immediately stop such futile attempts over Dokdo, which is clearly an integral part of the ROK territory historically, geographically and under international law, and squarely and humbly face historical truths.
