1. Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Choi Jong Kun had a telephone conversation with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy R. Sherman on the evening of August 10. The two sides shared their assessments of and exchanged views on the current situation on the Korean Peninsula.
2. The Vice Minister and the Deputy Secretary committed to continuing coordinated diplomatic efforts between the two countries to make substantial progress in achieving the complete denuclearization and establishment of permanent peace on the Korean Peninsula.
