1. First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Choi Jong Kun had
three respective meetings with: Robert Malley, the United States Special Envoy
for Iran Affairs; Enrique Mora*, the Deputy Secretary General of the European
External Action Service; and the Heads of E3 (France, Germany and the United
Kingdom)** delegations to the negotiations which aim to restore the Joint
Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

2. Vice Minister Choi shared with the heads of the five delegations
the view that the JCPOA negotiations had reached an important stage. Given that
the outcomes of the negotiations will have a significant impact on not only for
the participants but also for other countries, Vice Minister Choi asked the
negotiating parties to continue to strive to achieve meaningful advances.
3. Vice Minister Choi reaffirmed that the Korean government
would provide its diplomatic support in this regard and play a full part for the
advancement of the JCPOA negotiations. Welcoming the visit of Vice Minister
Choi to Vienna, the Heads of the delegations to the negotiations commended the
Korean government’s determination to play a valuable role, and agreed to engage
in close communication on this issue.
