1. The Government of the Republic of Korea welcomes and supports the United Nations Security Council's adoption of Resolution 2669 on Myanmar on December 21.
2. The resolution reiterates the international community's will to resolve the Myanmar crisis and emphasizes the need for ending violence, releasing those who are arbitrarily detained, providing humanitarian assistance, and restoring democracy in Myanmar.
3. The Government of the Republic of Korea supports a peaceful resolution of the Myanmar crisis as well as the restoration of democracy in Myanmar and once again calls for the immediate cessation of violence, the release of those who are arbitrarily detained including State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi, and the implementation of the ASEAN Five-Point Consensus.
4. The Government of the Republic of Korea will continue its efforts to contribute to the peaceful resolution of the Myanmar crisis by implementing the UN Security Council resolution, and closely cooperating with the international community including the UN and ASEAN.
