The Mirjam Helin International Singing Competition was held in Helsinki, Finland from June 3 to June 12.

Hosted by the Finnish Cultural Foundation, the competition was established with a donation from Finnish musician and professor Mirjam Helin, and is now in 9th since it was first held in 1984.

Of the 42 participants in the competition, a total of 6, including tenor Hwang Jun-ho, advanced to the finals, and each finalists performed two vocal pieces to the performance of the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra.

Ambassador Kim Jungha watched the finale of the Mirjam Helin Vocal Competition held at Helsinki Music Hall (Musiikkitalo) on Wednesday, June 12, and then met in person with tenor Hwang Jun-ho, the third place winner, to encourage and congratulate him.
