On August 2 in Tema and August 9 in Accra, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Ghana hosted the Korea-Ghana Cultural Experience Festival, featuring Africa’s first Ghanaian adaptation of the Korean classic Simcheongjeon. The performance touched audiences with its moving portrayal of family love, a value cherished in both cultures.
Visitors also enjoyed Korean food tastings(Samyang, OKF), beauty product trials(Goodskin), traditional tea and sweets, tourism materials, and displays by Kia Motors and Samsung Electronics. Hanbok photo zone offered a unique chance to experience Korean traditional attire against scenic backdrops.
Ambassador Kyongsik Park noted that the event not only deepened cultural understanding between Korea and Ghana, but also expanded the reach of Hallyu, sparking greater interest in Korean products.
