On December 11th 2023, Ambassador Chang Jae-bok hosted a meeting with Consul General of ROK in Chennai Mr. Kim Chang-nyun, Consul General of ROK in Mumbai Mr. Kim Young-og, Honorary Consul General of ROK in Chandigarh Mr. Jagdip Singh, Honorary Consul General of ROK in Telangana Mr. Suresh Chukkapalli, Honorary Consul General of ROK in Gujarat Mr. Piruz Khambatta and Honorary Consul General of ROK in Kolkata Mr. Shiv Siddhant Narayan Kaul. The Consul Generals were in New Delhi to attend the ‘Rang de, Korea’ cultural celebration (December 10th).

Ambassador Chang, the Consul Generals and the Honorary Consul Generals agreed that the various political, economic and cultural events held this year marking 50 years of diplomatic relations between Korea and India contributed significantly towards expanding and deepening bilateral cooperation, as well as strengthening the friendship between our people. They also discussed ways to ensure that the Korea-India Special Strategic Partnership leads to substantive outcomes and exchanged views to further consolidate this partnership next year and in the next 50 years to come.
