The Graduate School of Korean Studies at the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS) is now accepting applications for the 2025–2026 special admission program. We encourage individuals with an interest in Korean studies to apply.

Master’s and Doctoral Degree Programs  

■ Fields of Study:

13 majors in humanities and social science majors related to Korea  

■ Eligibility:

- Nationality: Foreigners or overseas koreans  

- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree holders  

- Language Proficiency:  

  1. Applicants for Korean Cultural Studies:

     - TOEFL iBT 80 / IELTS Academic 6.5 / TEPS 301 or higher  

  2. Applicants for all other majors:

     - TOPIK level 4 or higher

■ Online Application Periods:

- 2025 Fall Special Admission (Admission on September 1, 2025):  

  March 17 (Mon), 2025 – March 28 (Fri), 2025  

- 2026 Spring Special Admission (Admission on March 1, 2026):  

  September 8 (Mon), 2025 – September 19 (Fri), 2025
