2020 GKS Program for Graduate Degrees

In 2020, Korean Government's Global Korea Scholarship program aims to invite 1,270 international students from 153 countries who wish to pursue a graduate level degree (master's or doctoral) or research in Korea. To be selected as a GKS (KGSP) grantee, an applicant must successfully pass the 1st round of selection process set by the Korean Embassy.

※ Selection Schedule

o Application Period: on February 21 - March 20 (to the Korean Embassy)
   ※ You can't submit documents by e-mail, please visit the embassy.

o [1st Round: Selection by the Korean Embassy]: on March 23 - 27
   Document Review and Interview
   - The applicants who pass through the document review will have an interview at the end of March
     And will be notified individually beforehand.
   - The successful applicants of the 1st round will be announced at the beginning of April

o [2nd Round: NIIED Selection]: at the end of April - beginning of May (NIIED Selection Committee)
   - The announcement of the Results of the 2nd Selection :
     on May 22 (on the GKS Notice board on www.studyinkorea.go.kr)

o [3rd Round : University Selection] : on May 22 - June 12
   - NIIED announces the final successful candidates : 
     on June 26 (on the GKS Notice board on www.studyinkorea.go.kr)
