ㅇThe Government of the Republic of Korea supported the revision and Lao translation of the Road Design Manual and Standard Technical Specifications under an ODA project. The project was led by the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology with support from the Korea Expressway Corporation and Daeshin Plant Industry. The updated manuals include international and Korean road standards tailored to Lao conditions.

ㅇThe revised documents were officially handed over to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport in a ceremony chaired by Minister Leklay Sivilay and Korean Ambassador Jung Yung Soo. Senior Lao officials and Korean experts from KICT also attended the event. The handover highlighted the commitment of both countries to infrastructure development.

ㅇThe new manuals are expected to improve road durability and sustainability in Laos. By providing modern standards and technologies, they will serve as key references for engineers and policymakers. This cooperation reflects the growing Korea-Laos partnership in infrastructure and technical capacity building.
