ㅇA delegation from the Republic of Korea officially handed over a Land Price Information System to the Lao government on September 17, marking a key step in modernizing land data management. The project, launched in March 2024 with Korean funding and technical support, aims to improve transparency, efficiency, and accuracy in land administration.
ㅇWith an investment of over 4.27 billion Korean won, the project covers Chanthabouly, Xaysettha, and Xaythany districts in Vientiane, spanning 152 square kilometers. The system applies Korean assessment criteria adapted to Lao conditions and will be used for calculating land-related taxes, fees, and revenue collection, while also establishing a comprehensive land price database.
ㅇAt the handover ceremony, co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Dr. Xaynakhone Inthavong and Korean Ambassador Jung Yung Soo, the Korean side presented the project’s achievements. This bilateral cooperation highlights Korea’s commitment to supporting Laos in digital transformation and modern governance.
