Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Lebanon

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Lebanon held on 30 May 2024 the 5^th Korean Lebanese Business Forum at Al Habtoor Hilton Grand Hotel. The business forum was attended by a large number of businessmen from Korea and Lebanon in the Pharmaceutical and Food&Beverage sectors.

The meeting tackled various economic issues, notably: ways to develop economic relations and enhance cooperation between the private sectors in both countries. 4 presentations were made on the advantages of investment in Lebanon and Korea and it was concluded by holding bilateral working meetings between Lebanese and Korean businessmen to discuss the possibility of creating business partnerships between them in various fields.

At the opening of the forum, Ambassador Park said that the Korea-Lebanon Business Forum is a testament to the permanent spirit of collaboration between the two countries and the shared belief in the power of forging partnerships even in the most challenging times of Lebanon.

“This business forum symbolizes not just an event but a beacon of hope and a platform for new beginnings. It is a testament to the unwavering belief in the transformative power of entrepreneurship, innovation, and international cooperation”, Ambassador Park said.

He added: Lebanon's economic situation is undeniably very hard, however, amidst these challenges, there are glimmers of hope and opportunities for those willing to navigate the storm.

Korean Ambassador assured that Korea went through the same challenges of Lebanon but look at Korea today. “The history of the Korean economy post war until today portrays a great example of how an economy can perform in terms of growth, advancements and economic reforms and Lebanon can do the same”, said Park.

He added: Lebanon’s well-educated workforce and entrepreneurial spirit are assets that cannot be overlooked.

He invited the participants to seize this opportunity to foster meaningful connections and to explore new horizons, to exchange invaluable insights, and forge partnerships that will not only benefit respective companies but also contribute to the greater good of Lebanon.
