2025 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) Program for Graduate Degrees (Embassy Track)
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Colombo invites highly qualified students to apply for the 2025 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) Program for Graduate Degrees. This program provides international students with the opportunity to pursue graduate-level studies in Korea, fostering academic excellence and strengthening ties between Korea and participating nations.
1. Total Number of Scholarships
Six (6) students will be selected
2. Scholarship Duration
Master’s Degree program: 3 years
- 1 year of Korean language program
- 2 years of degree program
Doctoral Degree Program: 4 years
- 1 year of Korean language program
- 3 years of regular degree program
3. Eligible Universities and Fields of Study
Applicants may choose from 74 Korean universities designated by the National Institute for International Education (NIIED).

4. Timeline
Application Deadline: 28th February 2025
Interviewee Announcement: 2nd week of March 2025
Interview (Tentative): 17th March 2025
Final Selection Notification (Tentative): 21st March 2025
5. Application Submission Guidelines
Applicants must submit one (1) original set of all required application documents and three (3) photocopied sets to the Embassy, either by post or in person at the following address:

- All applicants must carefully review the "2025 GKS-G Application Guidelines" before submission.
It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that all required documents are submitted by the deadline. Incomplete applications may result in disqualification.
