Operation hours : Monday – Friday  8:30am – 11:30am for submission (closed on public holidays)

※ You do not need to visit our Embassy to pick up your passport as you can check and print out 

    your visa grant notice on Korea Visa Portal (Click here). Your passport will be returned after verification 

    on the day you submit your application as we do not put a visa label on your passport. 


Application by mail / online is NOT possible.

 

Please make an online reservation through the Consular Services 24 (https://consul.mofa.go.kr) before visiting the Embassy to submit your application. (Walk-in application will not be accepted.)

▶Reservation must be made under the name of a person who will visit the Embassy.

[Eligible Applicants]

 

1. Applicants with Visa Issuance Confirmation (Certificate of Visa Issuance) who are physically present in Malaysia

[Processing Time]  

1. At least seven (7) working days NOT including the day of submission. 

2. Earliest time to apply is three months before entry to Korea, as a visa will normally be valid for three months from date of issue.

3. You may check your application status on the Korea Visa Portal

[Application Procedures]

 

Step 1

○ An inviting party (employer, family, medical institute etc.) in Korea must apply for and obtain the Visa Issuance Confirmation from a local office of Korea Immigration Service in Korea or through the Korea Visa Portal.

After approval, the inviting party provides the applicant with the Certificate of Visa Issuance printed from Korea Visa Portal. If any of your personal details in the Certificate is incorrect, please ask the inviting party to make the necessary correction.
 

Step 2

○ An applicant makes appointment and visits the Embassy to submit required documents and fees to the Visa Desk at the Embassy.

Incomplete / incorrect form may cause a delay of process.

Application by mail / online is not accepted.

 

Step 3

○  After 7 working days (excluded the submission day), an applicant can check and print the visa grant notice on Korea Visa Portal.

2. Certificate of Visa Issuance

3. One-recent passport sized color photo with white background

4. Passport (original and photocopy)

5. MyKad (photocopy) / MyPR card (photocopy) / visa in Malaysia (original and photocopy)

6. Application fee in cash (RM) (Click here)

1. Certificate of Health for Tuberculosis screening from a designated hospital in Malaysia for long-term visa applicants from the following countries:

C-type visa applicant does not have to provide Certificate of Health for Tuberculosis screening.

[How to fill in the e-Form on Korea Visa Portal]

※Please carefully read the attached manual (File 1) for further details.

 

Step 1

○ Complete the e-Form (Visa) and submit it to the Korea Visa Portal.

 

http://visa.go.kr > English > Application > e-Form (Visa) > Fill out the e-Form

  

 

Note:

○ After submission, DO NOT CLOSE THE WINDOW / TAB. If you do, you will not be able to print the e-Form.

 

 

Step 2

○ After completing your e-Form, print it out and sign on it (parents may sign on behalf of underaged children) before submitting to our Embassy along with other required documents and fees.


  

Note:

○ Your application number should begin with ‘MAXXONXXXXXX’.

○ Incomplete/incorrect form may cause rejection or delay of your visa.

○ The photo uploaded on Korea Visa Portal must be same as the one submitted to our Embassy. 

    If you use different photos, your application may be rejected or delayed.

[Other things to be noted]

Documents and fees submitted for visa application will not be returned, regardless of the outcome.

The Embassy may request additional documents if it is deemed necessary (case by case basis).

   - All documents submitted must be in English, Bahasa Malaysia or Korean.

   - Documents in other languages must be translated by a professional translator and notarized before being submitted to the Embassy. /End/
