D-2: STUDENT VISA

• ■Period of stay: 2 years or less

• ■Single-entry visa valid for 3 months

Eligible Applicants:

• D-2-1/ D-2-2 / D-2-3/ D-2-4: For individual who plans to enroll in a full-time program at an academic institution established under the Higher Education Act or Special Act of Korea to obtain a degree (i.e. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D.).

• D-2-5: For individuals who plan to engage in research activities at institutions established under the Higher Education Act or Special Act of Korea.

• D-2-6: For individuals participating in student exchange or mobility programs between universities at an academic institution established under the Higher Education Act or Special Act of Korea

• D-2-8: For individual who wish to attend a summer or winter program lasting less than 3 months at an academic institution established under the Higher Education Act or Special Act of Korea

Important Note:

In principal, you must apply for the visa at a Korean diplomatic mission in your home country or in the country where your last school is located.
