The Embassy of the Republic of Korea is excited to announce the 2021 K-Pop World Festival The Netherlands Preliminaries. The event will take place on a digital platform due to the COVID19.

Please read the details of the event below and show us your talent!

※ A few important changes have been made as of 17 June. All changes are highlighted in red.

1. Competition Category

  - K-Pop Dance Performance (Four teams to be selected)

  - K-Pop Dance Performance with Inspirational Personal Story about K-Pop (Two teams to be selected)

2. Submission Deadline: Sunday, 18 July

3. Announcement of Results: Friday, 23 July on Youtube

4. Eligibility: Non-Korean residents of the Netherlands

  - Those who do not have and have never had Korean nationality are eligible.

  - If both parents of the applicant have or have had Korean nationality, he or she is not eligible

  - If only one parent of the applicant has or has had Korean nationality, he or she is eligible.

5. How to apply

ㅇ Perform to one K-Pop song of your choice AND one of the BTS’s songs, so two songs in total!

  - You can work in teams or as individuals.

  - Please cover the entire songs and dance to the original choreography.

ㅇ Film your performance and upload it on Youtube.

  - The video can be public or private. It does not matter.

ㅇ Submit your application form with the link to your performance video on Youtube to hgyu16@mofa.go.kr by 18 July 2021.

7. Prizes

ㅇ 1st place: € 800

ㅇ 2nd place: € 400

ㅇ 3rd place: € 200

ㅇ 4th place: Korean Food Box

ㅇ Two teams from the category of Inspirational Personal Story: 60th Anniversary of KR-NL Relations Souvenir Set

ㅇ The awarded six teams will be given an opportunity to compete in the international round held in Korea (online).
