The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Netherlands is thrilled to announce the 2025 K-POP World Festival, the Netherlands Preliminaries!

Show off your moves and passion for K-POP in our K-POP Competition!

This exciting event will take place during the Korean Culture Festival on September 13, 2025 at De Wester( Transformatohuis) in Amsterdam Westerpark. (Klönneplein 2, 1014 DD Amsterdam) Three teams will be selected to qualify for the finals in Korea, which will be held in April 2026. KBS World will determine which team will participate in the final competition.

Please review the competition details below and showcase your skills :

1.  Competition Categories :

   - K-Pop Dance Performance (Two teams will be selected)

   - K-Pop Singing Performance (One team will be selected)

2.  Video Submission Deadline :  24th of August, 2025

   - The selected teams or individuals will perform live at the Transformatorhuis in Amsterdam Westerpark on 13th September 2025. After all performances, the top three winners (Dance 2, Singing 1) of the Netherlands Preliminaries will be announced on site.

  - The teams/individuals selected for the Preliminaries will receive separate notification by 29th August.

3. How to Apply :

   - Film your performance and submit your application form and video(s) to ykyang09@mofa.or.kr by 24th of August, 2025

  ※ If the following conditions are met, you are not required to record a new video. You may submit your completed application form along with the existing video you already have.

   - Alternatively, you can upload your video(s) to YouTube and send the link.

   - You may participate as an individual or in a team.

   - Perform the entire song(s) and use the original choreography.

   - The video can be either public or private.

   - You can choose any K-POP song ; there is no limit on the number of songs.

   - Videos must be recorded in one continuous take without any editing.

   - A full shot of the performance is recommended.

   - Applicants must be residents of the Netherlands who are not of Korean nationality.

4. Judging Criteria :

   - Choreography, Composition, Uniformity

   - Expression

   - Stage Charisma

5. Important Notice:

   - KBS World will select the finalists for the K-POP World Festival finals in Changwon, Korea, scheduled for April 2026, through a separate judging process. The final result for the K-POP World Festival finals is expected to be announced at the end of December 2025.

  - The three preliminary winners (teams or individuals) must upload an interview video and one cover song/dance video they had previously recorded or owned by November 30 2025. Detailed instructions will be provided individually to the winners.

  - The three preliminary winners (teams or individuals) will be invited to perform at the National Day Reception hosted by the Korean Embassy on the evening of October 1st.

  ※ They will receive an honorarium as a gesture of gratitude after their performance at the National Day Reception
