The Korean Embassy, in collaboration with Filmhuis Den Haag and CinemAsia Film Festival and with the support of KOFIC, will host a month-long Korean film screening event at Filmhuis Den Haag this September.
The special program, “We Love Korean Cinema”, presents two classic films that have helped shape the identity of Korean cinema, alongside four recent works that demonstrate how it continues to evolve. These are intimate and layered stories that invite audiences in and encourage them to stay, offering a chance to see the world through a distinctly female perspective and to experience another side of Korean cinema that is both personal and powerful.
Starting with the opening film Little Forest (2018) on September 3, you will be able to enjoy six titles in total: Aloners (2021), Because I Hate Korea (2023), Edhi Alice (2024), Take Care of My Cat (2001), and Waikiki Brothers (2001).
