DNA Registration for Adoptees (Family Search Service)

DATE
2025-09-09

Under the Missing Children Support Act, adoptees considered as missing children are eligible to register their DNA. Since 2020, government agencies have collaborated to allow such adoptees to register their DNA at a Korean police station through the Korean Embassy or Consulate in their adoptive country.

Following the reorganization of Korea’s national adoption system, with all adoption-related services now consolidated under NCRC, the issuance format for DNA testing certificates has been standardized.
