Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Park Chong-Suk attended the foundation ceremony of Samsung Electronics TV factory held in Nawalparasi on August 24 (Wed).

In his congratulatory remarks, Ambassador Park emphasized that the Korean government and companies have continued to support Nepal's economic development and the 2026 LDC graduation process. He also highlighted that this factory will be a representative case of economic cooperation between Korea and Nepal.

After the ceremony, Ambassador Park had a meeting with Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Hon. Dilendra Prasad Badu, Lumbini Province Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Hon. Ajay Shahi, President & CFO of Samsung Electronics Mr. Hark-Kyu Park, and Chairman of Golchha Group Mr. Shekhar Golchha, who participated in the event, and shared views on expected benefits of the factory, including the development of Nepal’s manufacturing sector and job creation, and the further economic cooperation between the two countries.
