Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal

In 2024, Korean Government’s Global Korea Scholarship Program aims to invite international students who wish to pursue undergraduate degrees in Korea.

1. Number of Scholarships Available for the Embassy Track (Nepal): 1 (One)

2. Programs: 1 year of Korean language study plus 4-6 years of degree study

3. Universities: Applicants can only apply to the universities and departments that are listed in the "Application  Guidelines" with this notice

4. Eligibility 

• Nepali Citizens

• Graduated from high school

• A score percentile of 80% or higher on a 100-point scale, or ranking in the top 20% of one's class, is required.

• CGPA must be equal to or above 2.64/4.0, 2.80/4.3, 2.91/4.5, or 3.23/5.0

• Must be under the age of 25 (born after March 1, 1999)

• Must be in good health, both mentally and physically.

5. Deadline: The applicant must check the document requirements and submit hard copies of all the required documents to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal, no later than 12:00 on October 02, 2023. 

6. Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the interview 

7. Application guideline: Please go through the enclosed Application Guidelines for undergraduate Degrees, Application Forms, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and University Information before submitting the documents.

※Note: 

• All the required certificates must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) of Nepal before submitting to the Embassy.

• Documents written in languages other than English and Korean must be attested by MoFA, and their certified translation must be submitted.

• Only the successful candidates after interview shall be informed by the Embassy for Consular Confirmation of Required Documents.
