2026 Global Korea Scholarship for Graduate Degrees (GKS-G)
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of the Philippines is pleased to share the new guidelines for the 2026 Global Korea Scholarship for Graduate Degrees (GKS-G) Program. Interested applicants are advised to carefully review the information provided below:
1. Number of Quota for the Program: Nineteen (19)
2. Schedule of Application and Selection Process
●Application Period: February 12 (Thur) at 11:00 KST to February 25 (Wed) at 18:00 KST
●Deadline of Online Submission: February 25 (Wed) until 18:00 KST
●Announcement of the Results of Document Screening and Shortlisted Interview Candidates: March 11 (Wed)
*Only shortlisted applicants will be notified of the interview details, including the time and platform.
●Interview (Online): March 13 (Fri)
●Announcement of Successful Candidates: March 16 (Mon)
●Deadline of Physical Submission for Selected Candidates: March 24 (Tue)
3. Notice for Submission
●Beginning this year, the application method will be done DIGITALLY. All Embassy Track applicants are required to create a membership account on the website of Study in Korea (www.studyinkorea.go.kr) and submit their applications to the system within the above-mentioned timeline. Please refer below for the list of required documents and the updated process for online submission:

*Please ensure that all scanned copies are CLEAR and FULLY READABLE once uploaded to the system. To avoid the need for corrections, please double-check the accuracy of your application before submission, as creation of multiple accounts is prohibited and only one account per applicant will be recognized and evaluated by the Embassy.
●Applicants graduating by 31 July 2026 (Fri) may apply using a certificate of expected graduation that clearly indicates their official graduation date. If selected, these applicants must submit their official graduation certificate (or diploma) to the GKS Center, NIIED, by 31 July 2026 (Fri). Please note that the final certificate MUST bear an apostille or consular confirmation. Failure to do so will result in the CANCELLATION of one’s acceptance. (A certificate of attendance is NOT valid as proof of graduation.)
●Physical submission is required for SELECTED applicants only. These candidates must provide TWO (2) complete application sets - ONE (1) original and ONE (1) photocopy - on 24 March 2026 (Tue). Please note that after the initial digital processing, the recommendation letter must be resealed (by the applicant) before submission to the Embassy.
*On 14 May 2019, the Republic of the Philippines became a party to the Apostille Convention. Therefore, documents issued in the Republic of the Philippines must be apostilled by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) of the Republic of the Philippines.
