2021 Global Korea Scholarship

(Korean Government Scholarship Program for International Students for Undergraduate Degrees)

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea is pleased to announce that the schedule of the application for the 2021 Global Korea Scholarship (Undergraduate Degrees) is from September 28, 2020 to October 23, 2020.
The Korean government scholarship program will provide 125 students from 67 countries with opportunities to study at higher educational institutions in Korea for Bachelor-level degrees to promote international exchange in education and to deepen the mutual friendship among countries.

Two (2) students will be chosen from the Philippines to complete the undergraduate program in prestigious Korean universities from March 1, 2021 to February 28, 2026.
The scholarship covers round trip airfare tickets, monthly stipend, tuition fees, settlement allowance, Scholarship Completion Grants, Korean language training expenses, and medical insurance.
 
Application Deadline:
Deadline of submission is on Friday, October 23, 2020 (not later than 4:00 pm)

NOTES:
1. Please read the 2021 GKS Guidelines carefully and follow all of the given instructions

2. DOCUMENTS
• Applicants must submit a total of two envelopes only (1 envelope each for original documents & 3 photocopied sets)
• Recommendation letters must be sealed and signed by the recommenders (from two separate recommenders )
• All documents must be A4 sized
• Applicants may submit an original Certificate of Graduation or certified true copy of Diploma.
• All submitted documents will not be returned to applicants.

3. DOCUMENT SUBMISSION
• Applications may be received at the 29F Spaces World Plaza (Monday to Friday, 10:00-12:00; 13:30-16:00)
• Application sent through courier services (i.e. LBC, DHL etc.) is also acceptable. Application sent through email is not allowed.

4. Only shortlisted applicants will be notified with the interview schedule. However due to the pandemic, the scheduled interview is tentative and may opt to remove it depending on the severity of the COVID-19 status.

5. The First Selection results will be posted in the official website of the Embassy.
