< NOTICE ON EXEMPTION OF MANDATORY QUARANTINE FOR VACCINATED PASSENGERS >

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency(KDCA) announced below information on mandatory quarantine for passengers entering Korea. For those planning to enter Korea from the Philippines, please refer to below information. 

 o For those whose vaccination status is registered in Korea : Exempted from mandatory quarantine from March 21(Monday)

  - Applies to those who have completed* their COVID-19 vaccination in Korea or overseas and have registered their vaccination status in the COVID-19 Vaccination Verification System(COOV)

  * Completed third dose or received two doses (one dose for Janssen) at least 14 days prior but within 180 days of COVID-19 vaccine under the WHO’s EUL

 o For those whose vaccination status is unregistered in Korea : Exempted from mandatory quarantine from April 1(Friday)

  - Applies to those who have completed their COVID-19 vaccination overseas, but have not registered their vaccination status in the COVID-19 Vaccination Verification System(COOV)

 o Verification method for vaccination

  - For those whose vaccinations information is registered in Korea, vaccination information is automatically linked to advance quarantine information input system(Q-CODE).

  - For those who have completed vaccinations overseas, they must input their vaccination history and upload their vaccination certificates in the advance quarantine information input system(Q-CODE).

 o Same conditions apply for foreign passengers

  - Ex. 1) Foreigners who have completed COVID-19 vaccination in Korea and have registered their vaccination status in COOV :  Exempted from mandatory quarantine from March 21(Monday)

  - Ex. 2) Foreigners who have completed COVID-19 vaccination and have inputted their vaccination history and uploaded their vaccination certificates in the advance quarantine information input system(Q-CODE) : Exempted from mandatory quarantine from April 1(Friday)

 ※ PCR negative certificate tested and issued within 48 hours is still required even for those exempted from mandatory quarantine.
