On November 5, 2021, the Ministry of Employment and Labor of the Republic of Korea made a decision to resume services of processing and issuing E-9 visas for foreign workers under Korea’s Employment Permit System(EPS).
Accordingly, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea will resume processing of visa services for E-9 on 23 November 2021.
1. The Embassy will start to accept NEW application for E-9 visa from November 23 2021.
- Applicants for E-9 visa are required to submit the following documents in addition to the existing required documents.
· Philippine Vaccination Certificate (VaxCertPH)
* Korea will recognize applicants who completed the full regimen of COVID-19 vaccines under the WHO’s EUL such as Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Janssen, Sinovac, Sinopharm, Covishield and Covaxin
· Consent for Isolation
2. The Embassy will issue E-9 visas to those applicants who have ALREADY filed their respective applications only when their Employment Permits are still VALID. Those applicants are requested to submit the following additional documents.
· Philippine Vaccination Certificate (VaxCertPH)
* Korea will recognize applicants who completed the full regimen of COVID-19 vaccines under the WHO’s EUL such as Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Janssen, Sinovac, Covishield and Covaxin
· New Tuberculosis certificate issued within three months
· NBI Clearance issued within three months
· Consent for Isolation
