The Korean Ambassador’s Cup Taekwondo Championship was held at Amahoro Stadium on October 7th. More than 300 athletes from seven countries (Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Sudan, Tanzania, DR Congo, Burundi) participated in the tournament.
Dream Taekwondo club was the champion of the Korean Ambassador's Cup and the gold medal winners were Mahama refugee camp Taekwondo club and Kasereka Chance from DRC. The top two players (Male & Female) of the competition were awarded a free ticket to Dubai by Ethiopian Airlines.
Taekwondo has proudly grown into a world-class sport and many young East African people are now connected through Taekwondo. We expect more young athletes to participate in 2019 Ambassador’s Cup.
