Ambassador Hong Jin-Wook paid a courtesy call to H.E. Lawrence Wong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance on 22 March and discussed high-level exchanges, public diplomacy, support for Korean companies and future-oriented cooperation including climate change, and digital & AI, ahead of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations next year.

Having arrived in Singapore on 4 January, Ambassador Hong presented his credentials to President Tharman five

days later on 9 January and paid courtesy calls to government dignataries such as H.E. Heng Swee Keat, Deputy Prime Minister & Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies, H.E. Ng Eng Hen, Minister for Defence, H.E. Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and Environment, H.E. Maliki bin Osman, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Education and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Ministry of National Development.
