The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy(MOTIE) of the Republic of Korea convened the 2nd Korea-Singapore Digital Economy Dialogue with the Ministry of Trade and Industry(MTI) of the Republic of Singapore in Singapore on Thursday, 28 August.
This Dialogue was held as a follow-up to the Korea-Singapore Digital Partnership Agreement (DPA), Korea’s first digital trade agreement which entered into force in 2023. Building on the inaugural Dialogue in Seoul in May 2023, the meeting further strengthened bilateral cooperation to enable both countries to take the lead in digital transformation and innovation.
The Dialogue was co-chaired by Mr. Jongwon Park, Deputy Minister for Trade, MOTIE, and Ms. Jane Lim, Deputy Secretary, MTI. A total of 33 digital enterprises (17 from Korea and 16 from Singapore) participated, exchanging best practices and exploring collaboration in areas including SME digital transformation, digital financial innovation, and digital infrastructure and sustainability.
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Singapore will continue to support the efforts of Korean and Singaporean digital enterprises to share innovation, deepen cooperation, and develop new partnerships.
