2026 Global Korea Scholarship for Undergraduate Degrees (Embassy Track)

The National Institute for International Education (NIIED) under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea is inviting talented Singaporeans to apply for the 2026 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) for Undergraduate Degrees.

The detailed application guidelines, including eligibility, required documents/forms, and other necessary information, are attached.

1. Number of Singaporean Grantees (Embassy Track) :  Total 2

             -   General: 1

             -   R-GKS: 1 (R-GKS is a new track focusing on regional universities outside Seoul)

2. Scholarship Period

    Bachelor’s Degree: 5–7 years

    (1 year of Korean language training + 4–6 years of degree program)

4. Selection Schedule

1) Application Period: 6 Oct. 2025 – 17 Oct. 2025 (18:00)

📌 Korean Embassy Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Mon – Fri) 
⏳ Lunch Break: 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM (Please avoid visiting during this time.)

• - To facilitate document preparation, the Korean Embassy will accept all documents in photocopies.  (except Letter of Recommendation). Please submit only one original recommendation letter, sealed in an envelope, during the initial submission. There is no need to resubmit it during the additional document submission.

• - Submission Requirements: One (1) set of photocopied application documents.

• - No need for apostille or consular confirmation.

2) Announcement of the shortlisted applicants for interview: October 23, 2025 (Thu) 

3) Interview: Afternoon of October 27, 2025 (Mon)

   The interview date cannot be changed (the interview time can be adjusted if necessary), and the interview time will be individually notified only to those who pass the document review. 

4) The 1st Selection result announcements (individual notification): October 28, 2025 (Tue)

5. Required Documents & Submission

• ●After the announcement of the 1st Selection results, the selected candidate (1) and the backup candidate (1) must prepare one complete set of documents and submit it to the Embassy either in person or by post no later than 05 November 2025

         - Form 1 ~ 6 :  must be printed out and signed by hand (mandatory)

         - Form 7~14: ONE certified true copy (with an apostille by the Singapore Academy of Law) of each document

         - Recommendation Letter: Only one original letter, sealed in an envelope, must be submitted 

📌Since the original recommendation letter was already submitted during the initial submission, there is no need to submit it again.

📌 For overseas applicants:

If you are applying from overseas and cannot submit apostilled documents by the deadline, please submit one (1) original + three (3) photocopies at the time of your initial submission.
