D-4-1 Korean Language Training Visa

▷This page is meant for foreign nationals who wish to study Korean language in Korea for more than 90 days.

▷Nationals from countries eligible for K-ETA may apply for K-ETA instead if the program is 90 days and below.

▷In-person submission (no appointment) or through an appointed travel agent (click). Other 3rd party application is strictly not allowed.

▷Submission & collection hours: 9am-11.30am, Monday to Friday excluding public holidays listed here (click)

▷Processing time is 4 working days. No urgent / express service.

▷Flight and accommodation bookings are not required.

▷We do not provide status update on your application. You will know the result of your application on the scheduled collection date.

▷We no longer issue physical visa stickers. You may download the visa grant notice online upon approval (read more here)

▷D-4 visa is issued in single entry only and is valid for 3 months. This means that you would need to enter Korea within 3 months of its issuance or else the visa will lapsed. Upon entry into Korea, the duration of stay would start to count.

▷The duration of stay will be issued in strict accordance to the duration of studies as listed on the admission certificate (eg. if the duration of studies is 4 months, the duration of stay to be issued would be 4 months). The Embassy would not be able to issue you extra days to accommodate your personal needs. If you need to stay beyond the duration of stay issued to you, please approach the local immigration office in Korea for assistance.

▷If you will stay in Korea for more than 90 days, you are required to apply for Registration Card at a local immigration office in Korea within 90 days of your arrival. You are allowed to leave and re-enter Korea while maintaining your D-4 student status as long as you possess a valid Registration Card. Upon the completion of your studies, the Registration Card must be returned to the immigration office or immigration officer at the departure airport. Failure to do so will result in fine. The Embassy does not issue/extend Registration Card.

Documents required

1. Visa application form with one passport photo taken against white background

※ Fill in your name as per your passport

※ Please ensure all fields are completed to the best of your knowledge. Leaving blanks on the form will cause disadvantage.

2. Passport with at least 6 months remainder validity (original and CLEAR photocopy of bio-data page)

※ Passport will be kept at the Embassy during the processing of your application.

3. NRIC / EP / Spass / WP / LTVP / DP / STP (CLEAR photocopy)

※ For physical work passes issued with QR code, you are required to use "SGWORKPASS" app to obtain the latest pass information. A clear printout of the scan result obtained within recent 1 week must be submitted.

※ For digital passes, the printout of pass information must include the verifiable QR code.

※ Blurred photocopies or omission of QR code may result in visa rejection.

4. Re-entry permit (applicable to PR only)

5. Certificate of admission (표준입학허가서) issued by Korean university (copy)

6. Certificate of Business Registration of Korean university (사업자등록증명) (copy)

7. Tuberculosis test result issued in Singapore (applicable to certain applicants)

8. Certificate of final education (original and copy)

※ Not required if the Korean university is an IEQAS university but if you are a national from one of the 26 countries listed below, you may still be required to submit.

※ Certificates issued outside of Singapore must be apostilled in the issuing country prior to submission.

9. Recent 3 months Singapore bank account statements /e-statements

※ Not required if the Korean university is an IEQAS university but if you are a national from one of the 26 countries listed below, you may still be required to submit.
