F-4 Overseas Korean Visa (재외동포비자)
1. General Information
○ F-4 Overseas Korean visa is a 5-year multiple entry visa with sojourn period of 2 years.
○ We no longer issue physical visa stickers. You may download the visa grant notice online upon approval (read more here)
○ The visa holder must apply for a Resident Card(거소증) at the local immigration office in Korea within 90 days of his entry.
○ F-4 visa holder is not allowed to get a job in the field of simple labour service or activities against virtuous public customs.
2. Who is not eligible to apply
○ A Korean male who formally renounced Korean nationality after May 1st, 2018 without performing Korean military service. He will not be able to obtain F-4 visa until the year he turns 41 years old.
○ A Korean male who became a naturalized citizen of another country after May 1st, 2018 without performing Korean military service. He will not be able to obtain F-4 visa until the year he turns 41 years old.
○ A person who has violated the Korean Immigration Law in the past 3 years and charged with fines ₩7,000,000 altogether.
○ A person who has been sentenced to jail in the past 5 years.
