Important Visa Notice(Visa Grant Notice)


Effective February 24, 2020, the Republic of Korea will no longer issue sticker-type visa on a passport. Visa information is now electronically registered into the visa information system after approval.

 


  •  In addition, visa applicants will now be issued a ‘Visa Grant Notice’, which contains applicants’ personal information and visa information. This document can be accessed and printed at Korea Visa Portal(visa.go.kr) by entering your visa and passport information.

  •   Please 1)check diplomatic office and 2)put your full name(last name + first name), date of birth, and passport number


  •   Please check the following website for the instructions for getting Visa Grant Notice online:

Status of Stay: Type of visa an applicant applied for


Period of stay: Maximum period of stay one can stay in Korea with this visa


Date of Issue: Date when the visa has been issued


Number of Entries: Single(valid for one single entry), Double(valid for two entries), Multiple(valid for multiple times as long as the visa is valid)


Validity Period of Visa: Very last date one can enter Korea with this visa



- All visa-holding foreigners MUST present the ‘Visa Grant Notice’ during immigration process, for the purpose of identity verification.
