All applicants can check their status online at Korea Visa Portal(https://www.visa.go.kr/)

Please check the status online first, and then contact us only if there is any problem with the status or the visa grant notice.

The Consulate does not give any notifications regarding the status so applicants are responsible for checking their status on their own.

There is specific insturctions for checking the status so please follow the instructions below:

• ■How to check vis application status online:

1. Go to Korea Visa Portal(https://www.visa.go.kr/) and click 'Check Application Status' and 'Check Application Status & Print'

2. Check 'diplomatic office' as a type of application, put applicant's passport number, name in English, and date of birth.

* NAME SHOULD BE "LAST NAME+FIRST NAME+MIDDLE NAME". Please copy and paste the name on the passport.

3. Check the status

* No result

Please double-check if there is any typo. If not, please check whether application was delivered to our Consulate or not(in case of submitting by mail).

Even if it was delivered to us and we received the application in person on certain date, we do not update the system daily but twice a week so it might take some time to be on the system.

* Application received

Application was received by the Consulate successfully and visa is currently in progress.

* Approved

Application has been approved and the Consulate is going to finalize the process.

Please note that approval date is not same as ship-date/pick-up date. We need extra days to finalize the process so it might take some time for us to mail it even if it was approved few days ago.

4. Download the Visa Grant Notice if it is approved

Effective February 24, 2020, the Republic of Korea no longer issue sticker-type visa on the passport and all Korea-visa holders need to bring their Visa Grant Notice when they go to Korea.

Please print out the Visa Grant Notice and bring it on the way to Korea.
