In Celebration of Korean American Day (1.13), the Korean Education Center in LA (KECLA) is excited to host the "2026 Korean American Day Shorts Contest" as follows:
●Contestants: K-5th grade, 6-12th grade, and undergraduate students (individual or team)
●Topic: “The Best Korean I’ve Ever Met” (Shorts video introducing a Korean individual who has positively influenced your life # Examples: A Korean friend or teacher who changed your life, an activist who made you proud of your Korean heritage, a young Korean leader making an impact on the global stage, etc.
●Format: Vertical video, up to 60 seconds in length (FHD 1080×1920 recommended)
●Submission: Both of the following steps must be completed for a valid submission
1️⃣ Upload your video to your personal YouTube channel, including the hashtags “#KECLA” and “#2026KOREANAMERICANDAY”
2️⃣ Submit your application via Google Form (https://forms.gle/hdAaf9XP9DDD7Cos8)
●Deadline: December 1, 2025 (Mon)
●Winner Announcement: December 26, 2025 (Fri)
●Awards: Grand Prize $1,000, Gold Prize $500, Silver Prize $300, Honorable Mention $50
●Award Ceremony: Scheduled for January 13, 2026 (Tue)
