Quarantine Exemption and PCR Guideline for entering Korea (EFFECTIVE JUNE 8th 2022)
Notice : Quarantine requirement in Korea will be eliminated from June 8th regardless of vaccination status.
*If you are traveling before June 8th 2022, please refer to the June 1st update notice.
* (1) A negative Covid-19 test result and (2) Q-code registration are still required for all travelers entering Korea.
*If the test result is positive upon arrival, quarantine is required
[PCR Test Requirement]
Pre-departure:
1.PCR Test: 48hrs prior to departure date 00:00HR OR RAT COVID Test 24hrs prior to departure date 00:00HR
* A supervised Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) taken at a hospital or clinic, or
DNA amplification-based PCR test (RT-PCR, LAMP, TMA, SDA or NEAR, etc.) is valid.
* All forms of self-administered tests are NOT valid regardless of test type.
Post-Arrival:
2.PCR Test: Within 3 day after arrival
3.RAT Test: Within 6-7days after arrival (Recommended)

[Q-CODE registration]
➔Travelers are required to register their vaccination history into the quarantine information pre-entry system (Q-CODE)
➔Please refer to the Q-CODE Manual Link for the direction and the manual (attached above on this notice)
[Quarantine Exemption Certificate : Only for funeral attendance]
➔The Quarantine Exemption Certificate will continue to be issued for unvaccinated applicants requiring to visit Korea for funeral attendance only by the Diplomatic Overseas office overseeing the jurisdictional service area.
➔Embassy of Korea in the USA, D.C. Consular Office services the VA, MD, DC, WV area only.
