 How to submit your visa application

- You may either submit your visa application in person or by mail

※ All consular visitors MUST make an appointment in advance (☞ CLICK)

* If you were unable to make an appointment, please submit your visa application by mail.

    

 Processing Time: 4 weeks 

Due to an unexpected increase of applications, please apply for the visa with plenty of time in advance

We do not provide any expedited services. Thus, please plan accordingly for your travel plans and submit your visa application considering the aforementioned visa processing time.

PLEASE BE NOTED THAT THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.


 We don't provide service to check your visa application status. However, you can check your status through our Korea Visa website. ( View instructions)




 Consular Jurisdiction of Seattle

Our jurisdiction is Washington, Oregon, Montana and Idaho. Applicants who do not live in these areas, please contact the appropriate Korean Consular Office in your respective area. (☞ Click for more information)




 Eligible Applicants for an F-3 Visa


You are allowed to apply for an dependent family visa, if you are an accompanied a spouse or an unmarried minor(under Korean age of 19) of eligible applicants for student visa or high-skilled worker visa.


□ Required Documents



1. Visa Application with Visa Issuance number (from Korean Immigration Service)

* Please write down your phone number and address to be used in Korea at the top of your application

       * Please make sure you SIGN or it will be rejected 

       * Please all areas on all pages are fully and accurately completed or it will be rejected ejected     

2. Original Passport (must be valid for more than 6 months) - in person

    Notarized copy of passport (Biographic data and signature page) - by mail

     * DO NOT send your original passport if you mail your application

3. Original valid US green card or valid US long-term visa (F1, I-20, H1B, I-797 etc.)

    Notarized copy of valid US green card or valid US long-term visa - by mail

   * DO NOT mail your original (physical) passport and green card (or visa)

4. One Photo 

       * A physical/printed 2x2 photo taken within the last 6 months, DO NOT PRINT AT HOME


5. Fee $45 (for US citizens, Non-US citizens fees vary  View Fees by Country) 

Money Orders Only if you submit by mail (Payable to the Korean Consulate in Seattle)  


6. Documents proving the family relations (Marriage Certificate or Birth Certificate)


7. Documents proving your financial ability (Inviter's Employment contract, bank account statements for last 3 months, copy of most recent tax return, etc)

8. Copy of principal applicant's Korean visa

9. Copy of valid Driver License or ID as proof of residency

10. Parents' Certificate of Naturalization and applicant's birth certificate if a person whose parent(s) had a Korean Nationality and has acquired a US nationality

11. Basic Certificate (기본증명서) or Certificate of Family Registry (제적등본) AND US Certificate of Naturalization if a person who was Korean and has renounced Korean nationality (if applicable)
