Notice

  • Short-term entry visa(C-3 type) is issued as a single-entry visa, and if you wish to obtain a double-entry visa, you should indicate this when submitting your application.

  • The Embassy may request for additional documents if it is deemed necessary for visa evaluation.

  • Please be advised that the embassy cannot receive the following types of U.S. dollar bills, as we are unable to submit them to the bank:

    1. Damaged banknotes.

    2. Banknotes with stains or spots.

    3. Banknotes with irrelevant or unauthorized stamps.

Visa issuance may take a long time from June 20th to 30th 2024. So we recommend applicants to submit application documents for visa before June 14th, (from 15th to 19th June is non-working days)

Visa information

General information for Visa

  • Visitors who plan to stay in Korea must obtain visas before entering Korea.

  • Agreement between the Government of Republic of Korea and the Government of Republic of Azerbaijan on the Mutual Waiver of Visa requirements for holders of Diplomatic and Official/Service passports has entered into force from 21st November, 2008. So Azerbaijan citizens who have a diplomatic or service passport can visit the Republic of Korea without a visa for duration of up to 30 days.

  • Visa applicants are required to submit passport, application form, a recent passport-style color photograph, and other relevant documents as determined by the status of stay.

  • Please make an appointment by e-mail(azeremb@mofa.go.kr) at least 3 working days in advance (please write full name, date of birth, purpose of entry to Korea, desired entry date to Korea, desired date & time of application)          ※ The embassy does not accept reservation applications from travel agencies.                  

  • Visa fees are as follows

  • Single entry visa for a stay of no more than 90 days : 50 US$

  • Single entry visa for a stay of more than 90 days : 80 US$

  • Double entry visa : 120 US$

  • Multiple entry visa : 150 US$

  • Visa applicant himself/herself must submit required documents(for Visa)

  • Required time for Visa issuance : 5 days(for long-term visa), 2~3 days(for short-term visa) (The date of receiving applications and non-working days are NOT included)

  • Visa application form can be downloaded through the Visa Application Form tab at the bottom of the embassy's homepage main screen.

  • A 3.5 x 4.5 cm passport-type color photo is required for all visa applications. The photo must have been taken in the last 6 months and should have a white background. Photos which are printed out or which do not meet these specifications will not be accepted.

  • If documents are not written in English or Korean, you should submit notarized documents with translation in Korean or English

  • Azerbaijan citizen who want to apply for long term visa(more than 90 days) should submit certificate of TB test at the designated hospitals by Korean Embassy. For detailed information, please see Notice https://overseas.mofa.go.kr/az-en/brd/m_8242/view.do?seq=761412&page=1 

  • Documents issued by a third country other than Azerbaijan/Korea must be submitted with an apostille or verified by the respective embassy. (Scanned documents are not accepted.)


Required documents for Visa application

  • Short-term business/visitors

  • Passport (Passport should be valid for more than 6 months)

  • Application for Visa issuance, One photo, visa fee 

  • Invitation letter from inviting company or person (must be notarized,original)

  •  - certification of librarian certificate (not translation certification)

  • Guarantee letter from inviting company or person (must be notarized,original)

  •   - certification of librarian certificate (not translation certification)

  • copy of certificate of business registration of inviting company.

  • Documents which certify the relations between inviting person/company and invitee(ex. Certificate of incumbency or birth, contract, transaction performance document)

  • A round-trip flight ticket or reservation of round trip flight (different form of documentation may be asked)

  • Confirmation letter of hotel reservation

  • The Embassy may request for additional documents if it is deemed necessary for visa evaluation.


  • Tourism

  • Passport (Passport should be valid for more than 6 months)

  • Application for Visa issuance, One photo

  • A round-trip flight ticket or reservation of round trip flight (different form of documentation may be asked)

  • Confirmation letter of hotel reservation

  • Travel plan in English(there is no fixed format but detailed plan must be drawn up)

  • Documents related with the applicant(ex. Certificate of incumbency issued by E-government)

  • Notarized guarantee letter (Guarantee letter has to be written by the person you know or relative, as below (except travel agent) :

    I xxx xxx guarantee that Mr/Ms xxx will visit the Republic of Korea and return the Republic of Azerbaijan between these dates xxxxx.

    Guarantee letter has to be translated and notarized.

  • Copy of ID card of guarantor

  • Certificate of incumbency of guarantor(issued by E-government)

  • Certificate of bank balance for 6 months (at least USD 3,000)

  • Visa fee

  • * If you are planning to travel in Korea with your friends/family members living in Korea, please submit invitation and guarantee letter from friends/family members living in Korea and apply C-3-1 visa.  

  • The Embassy may request for additional documents if it is deemed necessary for visa evaluation.


  • Attendance of various Events(Sport Events, Conference, Meetings, etc.)

  • Passport (passport should be valid for more than 6 months)

  • Application for Visa issuance, One photo

  • Invitation letter(must be notarized, original)

  •  - certification of librarian certificate (not translation certification)

  • A copy of certificate of business registration of inviting company

  • Documents related with the invitees(ex. Certificate of incumbency)

  • Visa fee

  • A round-trip flight ticket or reservation of round trip flight (different form of documentation may be asked)

  • Confirmation letter of hotel reservation

  • The Embassy may request for additional documents if it is deemed necessary for visa evaluation.


  • Students

  • Passport (Passport should be valid for more than 6 months)

  • Application for Visa issuance, One photo

  • Certificate of Admission issued by the president of the college or university & copy of certificate of business registration of the college/university

  • Certificate of TB test (for detailed information please see NOTICE https://overseas.mofa.go.kr/az-en/brd/m_8242/view.do?seq=761412&page=1   

  • Visa fee

  • Certificate of bank balance

  • The Embassy may request for additional documents if it is deemed necessary for visa evaluation.


  • Medical trip

  • Passport

  • Application Form

  • Photo (1 piece, 3.5x4.5)

  • Visa fee 

  • Document related to the reservation at the Hospital

  • Copy of the business registration number of the hospital

  • Diagnosis issued by the doctor in written form

  • Employment certificate (printed from e-gov.az)

  • Bank account certificate

  • In case of payment by family member:

  • Bank account statement of the family member

  • Employment certificate (printed from e-gov.az) of family

  • Notarized sponsor letter

  • Certificate of TB test

  • Document that proves the family relations (i.e. birth certificate)

  • A round-trip flight ticket or reservation of round trip flight (different form of documentation may be asked)

  • Confirmation letter of hotel reservation

  • The Embassy may request for additional documents if it is deemed necessary for visa evaluation.
