Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of the Philippines

1.      Mr. Kim Jae-Shin, Ambassador designate of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of the Philippines paid a courtesy call on Honorable Albert Del Rosario, Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs on April 30, 2015. Ambassador designate Kim presented a copy of the letter of credence to the Secretary and they exchanged views on bilateral relations between Korea and the Philippines

2.      Ambassador designate Kim expressed his pleasure for being appointed as Ambassador to the Philippines during the heydays of bilateral relationship, and promised to put his utmost effort to further develop this in every sector. Ambassador designate Kim also wished for closer cooperation with the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines.

3.      Particularly, Ambassador designate Kim requested the Department to maintain its support for the promotion of the safety and interest of Korean residents, businessmen, and visitors in the Philippines.

4.      Secretary Del Rosario welcomed Ambassador designate Kim to the Philippines at the best time of Korea-Philippine relations and wished to work together to achieve a higher level of bilateral relationship. In addition, Secretary Del Rosario acknowledged the Korean government’s concerns about the safety of Korean residents in the Philippines and guaranteed his best efforts to solve the issue.

5.      Ambassador designate Kim will present the letter of credence to President Benigno Aquino III presently.
