General Information

The following is the general information for U.S. citizen’s Korean Visa application.

A U.S. citizen with a valid passport can visit the Republic of Korea without visa for 90 days for the purpose of tourism or transient stop-over.

The Korean visa will take 3~5 days after the applicant submits all the required documents in person.

The visa processing fee for U.S. citizens is $45 in cash or money order (payable to the Consular Office of the Republic of Korea in Anchorage) only.

If an applicant is requesting a visa by mail, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope for the passport to be returned. Processing by mail will take 1~2 weeks.

Please include a PREPAID airway bill from a mail delivery service of your choice (e.g. FEDEX, DHL, UPS)

Please write your return address clearly. The Consular Office is not responsible for lost mail.

Valid Passport
1 Color Photo (2 x 2)
Completed Visa Application Form
Copy of travel itinerary including a return date (Booking confirmation will be accepted.)
Copy of the picture page of your passport
Address and contact information in Korea
Depending on the type of Visa, additional documents might be required for Visa status.

Visa Fee

(Non U.S. Citizens)
Single-entry visa for less than 90 days : $40
Single-entry visa for more than 90 days : $60
For all multiple-entry visa : $90

COVID19 related change (additional documents)

Health Condition Report Form: Doctor's letter concerning COVID19 related symptoms (written within 48 hours before submitting the application) or COVID19 negative test result issued within 48 hours before submitting the application => You don't need to submit this for a while, but you have to carry a negative test result of COVID that is issued 72 hours before boarding. (1/5/2021)
All visas will be issued only as single entry
It takes at least 14 days to process
