Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Dubai

In accordance with the guidelines of the Korean Ministry of Justice, if a citizen of the following 34 countries applies for a visa at a third country's diplomatic mission, he/she must have stayed in the third country (in this case, the UAE) for more than two years from application date with a residence visa, in addition to holding a valid UAE residence visa with remaining validity of more than 6 months. 

Applicants may claim exception to the above requirement if they are; 

1. invited by the Government of the Republic of Korea, local governments and Public Organization (Applies to spouses and minors as well)

2. holding UAE residence visa based on their status as diplomats, public officials or employees of international organizations (Applies to spouse and minors as well only if they are applying with the qualified applicant)

3. family members of UAE national (spouse and minors) and holds UAE residence visa

4. applying for either Transit Visa (C-3-10) or Overseas Koreans Visa (F-4)

5. holding a valid Visa Issuance Certificate issued by Korean Ministry of Justice 

Apart from the above, we may consider exception for limited cases of diplomatic/official matters provided that the applicant holds UAE residence visa.
