Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of Austria and Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the International Organizations in Vienna

On Wednesday 29 May, Ambassador HAM Sang Wook invited HE Carl Hallergard, Ambassador of the European Union in Vienna, to his residence and held the second Korea-EU Ambassadorial Consultation in Vienna.

* The two ambassadors held their first Korea-EU meeting in February and decided to hold regular ambassadorial meetings in the future.

Ahead of the June meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors, the two ambassadors exchanged views on major issues such as the DPRK nuclear issue, the Iranian nuclear issue and the safety of nuclear power plants in Ukraine.

As this year marks the 30th anniversary of the DPRK's withdrawal from the IAEA, the two ambassadors agreed to continue to work closely to maintain the unity of the international community on the DPRK nuclear and missile issues.
