□ Quarantine Exemption Certificate for those who
1. The Korean health authorities have announced the quarantine exemption requirements for those who have completed COVID-19 vaccination overseas as follows.

[ Eligibility for quarantine exemption ] ① Important Business Purpose - Limited to executive-level personnel and those who need to carry out on-site essential tasks(up to 14 days) ② Academic/Public Interest Purpose - Limited to athletes partaking in international competitions or medical personnel required to transport emergency patients(up to 14 days) ※ Exchange Students and Studying abroad purpose cannot be included in the issuance of a quarantine exemption. ③ Humanitarian Reasons - Funeral attendance(up to 7 days) ④ Government Official Overseas Business Trip(up to 14 days) - Director-General or higher level officials | [ Eligibility for quarantine exemption ] ① Important Business Purpose - Those who obtained approval from the relevant Korean government ministries ② Academic/Public Interest Purpose - Those who obtained approval from the relevant Korean government ministries ③ Humanitarian Reasons - Those who need to attend funeral of immediate family members(up to 14 days) ④ Visit Immediate Family living in Korea -limited to spouse; parents(grandparents); sons or daughters(grandchildren) or immediate family of your spouse living in Korea ⑤ Government Official Overseas Business Trip - All government officials |
2. A person is considered fully vaccinated if:
ㅇ he/she enters Korea 2 weeks after receiving all of the recommended inoculations of vaccines that have been authorized for emergency use by the World Health Organization in the same country
* Pfizer, Janssen, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Covishield, Sinopharm, Sinovac
- (e.g.1) If a person completed vaccination on August 1, he/she is not eligible for quarantine exemption if he/she tries to enter Korea between August 1 and August 15. He/she is eligible for quarantine exemption if he/she enters Korea after August 16 12:00 AM.
- (e.g.2) If you have received the vaccine certificate from Country ⓐ, you can only apply for quarantine exemption in Country ⓐ. You cannot apply for quarantine exemption in Country ⓑ.
ㅇTherfore, only those who received full vaccination in Denmark can apply quarantine exemption to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Denmark.
3. Eligiblity for quarantine exemption certificate for visiting their immediate family who live in Korea
ㅇ Those who plan to visit spouse, parents(or grandparents), spouse’s parents(or grandparents), sons or daughters; and birthparents (in case of adoptees)
※ Those who plan to visit siblings are not eligible for quarantine exemption.
ㅇ Those who submit documents(e.g. Family Registry, etc.) proving that the above-mentioned family members currently reside in Korea.
※Those who wish to visit immediate family members(limited to spouse, parents/grandparents, spouse’s parents/grandparents, sons/daughters, grandchildren) who are not Korean nationals and residing in Korea with long-term residence status are eligible for quarantine exemption as well. (However, if the foreigner is a short-term visitor or an illegal alien, those who wish to visit him/her are not eligible for quarantine exemption.)
4. Required Documents
ㅇ Applicants should submit the required documents to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea
(1) Copy of valid passport of the applicant
(2-1) Quarantine Exemption Application (attached)
(2-2) Agreement to the Terms and Conditions (attached)

※Itinery for Quarantine Exemption Period
-not necessary if the applicant has received the full doses of vaccine

(2-3) Pledge of Authenticity (attached)
-please check "agree" on the Bottom and do not forget to put your name and signature
(3) Government-issued document to prove family relationship with the immediate family memember that the applicant is visiting : it should be issued within 6 months of your application date
-When applicants are Korean nationals, please submit Korean family registration certificate (가족관계증명서) or Korean family ergistry document (제적등본), which must be issued within 90 days of your quarantine exemption application date
-When applicants are adoptees, please submit Adoption Certification issued by the Ministry of Justice in Korea
-When applicants are not Korean nationals, please prepare Birth Certificate or Marrige Certificate issued in Denmark or a foreign country (in order to prove your relationship with the immediate family you are visiting in Korea), ), which must be issued within 90 days of your quarantine exemption application date
※If the certificate was issued in Denmark or a foreign country other than the Republic of Korea, please have it apostiled. (https://um.dk/en/travel-and-residence/legalisation-frontpage/legalisation%20danish/)
-When applicants visit foreigners who live in Korea with a long-term visa, please submit a copy of their immediate family's Korean Regsidence Card (거소증) front and back page or Korean Alien Registration Card (외국인등록증) front and back page or Certificate of Alien Registration(외국인등록 사실증명).
※If your immediate Family has a short-term (less than 90days) visa or staying illegallly, you CANNOT get a quarantine exemption certificate.
(4) Copy of Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate of the applicant, which must be in a printed form from sundhed.dk (Please prepare both first and second dose Certificate)
1) Please log into sundhed.dk website with your NemID.
2) Click 'Coronapas-Covid-19 vaccination' which is on the right corner of the screen
3) Click 'Hent pas' under 'Tryk på 'Hent pas' for at hente dit coronapas for COVID-19 vaccination'
4) Print both vaccination certificates for first and second dose.
5. How to Submit
ㅇ Place: Embassy of the Republic of Korea (Svanemøllevej 104, 2900 Hellerup) between 9:00 and 12:00
-Please submit all the required documents listed above.
-please start your application within 4 weeks of your departure to Korea
※Your quarantine exemption certificate is valid for 1 month from its issuance date.
※Thus, you must enter Korea within 1 month from its issuance date, and there is no need to apply too early.
ㅇ The Embassy of the Republic of Korea will review your documents and issue the quarantine exemption certificate to your email address written on the application.
ㅇ How long it takes: It takes up to 5 days in working days
6. After you get your quarantine exemption certification
ㅇ Please print out 4 copies (we send 1 doc, you print it 4) and bring them with you when you enter Korea. If you do not bring a printed copy, your quarantine exemption certificate might not be valid.
ㅇ Provide a negative PCR test result, which took place within 72 hours of the departure date when entering Korea (please print it out)
ㅇ Get a PCR COVID-19 test upon arrival in Korea and wait for the result at the temporary living facility
ㅇ Take an additional COVID-19 diagnostic test with 6-7 days of entry
