The Global Korea Scholarship or GKS is a program that is run by the Korean government. Its primary objective is to attract excellent foreign students to attend higher education institutions in Korea.
It is not merely an academic program. It is also about encouraging international education exchange, nurturing future global leaders, and establishing good and cordial relations between Korea and other nations.
General Eligibility Requirements
ㅇ Nationality: Georgia
ㅇ Age: You must be under 40 years old
ㅇ Health: The applicants must be physically and mentally fit to undertake the whole program in Korea
Academic & GPA Requirements
ㅇ A Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 80 percent or higher in your former school OR Achieve a top 20 percent grade in your previous degree program
ㅇ Your CGPA must be equal to or higher than the following in case your transcript does not show a percentage:
- 64 on a 4.0 scale
- 80 on a 4.3 scale
- 2.91 on a 4.5 scale
- 3.23 on a 5.0 scale

ㅇ Starting from the 2026 GKS-U, applications must be submitted online only via the Study in Korea website (www.studyinkorea.go.kr).

ㅇ Georgia Embassy Track: General Track 4 students
ㅇ University Track: General (1 Student) & R- GKS(1 Student) = Total 2 students
※ Multiple applications will result in disqualification. If discovered after selection, admission will be cancelled.
Required Documents
ㅇ Successful candidate of 1st round(embassy track) must submit Apostille or 'consular confirmed' documents for further round
- Original Documents + 1 Copy needs to be brought to the embassy no later than 23rd of March

- Document Screening Results: 26.3.4.(Wed.)
- Interview: 26.3.5.(Thu.)
- Embassy Nominee Announcement: 26.3.16.(Mon.)
※ Only shortlisted applicants from the document screening will be invited for interviews.
