The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Georgia is hosting the 2022 Quiz on Korea competition in collaboration with Ilia State University. Quiz on Korea is a quiz competition about Korean culture and language for non-Korean Georgians studying the language. It's an exciting opportunity for those interested in expanding their knowledge and interest in Korean culture.

Domestic round will be held at Ilia Chavchavadze Avenue N32, Illia State University A Building, B201 Hall on Saturday 14th May at 1PM, and the Georgian finalist will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to South Korea in September to compete in the final round. The final round will be filmed at the KBS studios in Seoul and aired on KBS as a special program during the Chuseok holidays, which typically occur in late September or early October. It will also be broadcast by KBS World to approximately 200 million viewers in 88 countries worldwide.

■ Eligibility

• You must be a Georgian citizen who is at least 18 years old.
• You and your immediate family are not Korean citizens or ethnically Korean.
• You have never had a Korean nationality and are not an overseas Korean.
• You should be able to communicate in both English and Korean, as the majority of questions will be asked in both languages.

■ Application:

• Applications are open until Friday 18th April 2022 at 17:00PM
• When an embassy accepts an application, participants will receive a confirmation email.

■ Quiz Format:

• The quiz consist a mix of short-answered, multiple choice questions and OX quiz written in English and Korean side-by-side.
• The quiz will follow the same format as the famous the Golden Bell Challenge(골든벨).

K-Culture Contest

Korea 2022 Quiz will be followed by the K-Culture Contest, in which those interested in Korean culture will have the opportunity to perform and express themselves on the subject of "K-Culture.“

■ Eligibility:

 Anyone with an interest in Korean culture

■ Important Date:

Content submission period: 18th of April 2022

Announcement of participants: 22nd of April 2022

Event Date: 14th of May 2022

Length of the performance: up to 3 minutes

Must be relevant to K-Culture

               - Participant(s) Name
               - Link/File of performance (Video Resolution: 720p or 1080p)
               - Contact Information
