C-31 Short Term General Visit

 ☆ Must Read Before Application: General Information for visa


○ Eligible Applicant: A person who plans to participate in the following non remunerative activities for less than 90 days

International conference

• Academic research or seminar

Cultural or artistic event

•  Religious ritual

• Sport matches or competitions(with cash prize is awarded to participants in a winners list)

• Gerenral training

• Internship

• Family visit


※ Nationals of countries* which Korea has signed a visa waiver agreement can enter Korea without visa, on the condition that they do not engage in remunerative activities during their stay. They are required to apply for K-ETA(https://www.k-eta.go.kr/portal/apply/index.do) instead.

  * Including Greece, Cyprus and Albania

Period of Stay: Maximum 90 days, single entry valid for 3 months


○ Requirements​

1. ​Visa application filled and signed by applicant (Attachment 1)
2. Passport which is valid more than 6 months (original and 1 copy)
​3. 1 photo taken in recent 6 months(3.5*4.5 cm, white background)
4. Visa fee: Euro amount equivalent to US$40

5. Invitation letter from relevant company, organization / family stating period and purpose of visit

6. Family certificate issued in recent 3 months

 - If the document is not in English, it must be translated either in Korean or English

- If the document is issued from country other than Korea, Greece, Cyprus and Albania, Apostille is required

7. Copy of ID card of family member in Korea

6. Business Registration Certificate of inviting company/organization issued in recent 6 months

7. Employment certificate or confirmation letter from the organization which the applicant belongs to (such as relevant religious group /sports association, etc.), or Attendance certificate issued by applicant’s attending school.

※ The letter should state applicant’s full name and passport number, the working position in the company/the identity in the organization, purpose ofentry and the visiting period, etc.




* The sports matches /competitions that will be held in Korea should be the ones where cash prize is awarded to participants in a winners list. Work visa is required for those participants who earn salary more than living expenses, excluding the cash prize.
